CME and video workshop on pediatric urology at Dispur Hospitals
The city based Dispur Hospitals’ urology department along with Assam Urological Society has organized a continuing medical education (CME) program tomorrow (6 May) on pediatric urology, which emerges as an important sub-specialty department dealing with various ailments of the children’s urogenital tract with other developmental anomalies.
“The aim of the CME is to upgrade the knowledge of urologists, pediatricians and pediatric surgeons, where eminent faculties from all over India will deliver relevant talks and also demonstrate videos of surgical techniques,” said Dr Jayanta Bardoloi, managing director of Dispur Hospitals Ltd.
Prof Amilal Bhat from Jodhpur, Prof NP Gupta & Dr B Sekhon from Gurgaon (Medanta), Dr GS Kochhar from New Delhi, Dr Mallikarjun Reddy from Hyderabad, Dr V Krishnamoorthy from Bangalore, Dr Sajid Qureshi from Mumbai (TMH) and Dr HK Nagaraj from Bangalore are supposed to deliver guest lectures. Eminent Sonologist Dr Shyam Baruah will also deliver a talk on ‘Role of USG in antenatal and postnatal pediatrics conditions.
Prof PM Deka, chief consultant urologist of Dispur Hospitals (former HOD of Gauhati Medical College) is scheduled to chair the program, where case discussion & presentations for the benefit of post-graduate students will be incorporated.
