The ex-ULFA cadres are dead opposed to the government’s move to grantcitizenship to Hindu Bangaldeshis in Assam. A general meeting of the Ex-ULFA aikhya mancha was held at Dimalgaon community hall in Kokrajhar on Sunday.
A new Kokrajhar district committee of ex-ULFA Aikhya Mancha was formed with Suresh Royas president and Hemen Royas secretary in the meeting. Nearly 16,000 ex-ULFA men are still in the state of Assam,who were surrendered to the since 1992 till today. The surrendered cadres have been facing several hardship and problems since surrendered.Though they have placed demands to the government for welfare of the surrendered cadres,but could not meet solution.
Kalpajyoti Neog,president of Ex-ULFA Aikhya Manch, Assam said that the mancha would be protesting the government’s move to grantcitizenshiprights to the Hindu Bangladeshis.The persons who reached in Assam after March 25 of 197, they must be deported from Assam at any costs’, he said.
They may be Hindu or Bangladeshi, they must deported from Assam. The ex-ULFA men facing several hardships in their living as they have surrendered leaving arms struggle to come in main stream.They demanded proper welfare measures for the ex-ULFA cadres so that they could live in healthy life.
