Newly inaugurated healthcare institute of northeast India, Ayursundra Superspeciality Hospital will conduct the next weekly evening OPD clinic at Guwahati Press Club on 1 April next ( 2 to 5 pm) for the benefit of its members along with their dependents.
Opened on 9 February at Gorchuk locality in the city, the hospital is part of the Ayursundra Healthcare Private Limited and the name Ayursundra refers to the Sanskrit combination of two words Ayur (life) and Sundra (beauty), said Dr Himadri Barthakur, executive director of the hospital.
Besides health related free consultations by practicing doctors including Dr Pirit Sarma (Medicine) and Dr Ayona Barthakur (O&G), the participants in the camp will also get the facility of blood sugar & press tests. Essential medicines will also be offered in need, added Dr Barthakur.
The last media clinic was supervised by the Gurgaon based Medanta-the Medicity Hospital on 25 March, where Dr Prasun Ghosh (Urology) and Dr Nabajit Talukdar (Cardiology) checked the health status of around 25 participants and advised them accordingly.
It may be mentioned that the press club launched the unique healthcare program titled 'Evening with a Doctor' with initial supports from Dr Jayanta Bardoloi, Managing Director of Dispur Hospitals in last August. The city based hospital also conducted the first evening clinic in the press club premises.
Till date a number of practicing doctors from Apollo Chennai Hospital, GNRC Group of Hospitals, Down Town Hospitals, Narayana Super-Specialty Hospitals, Swagat Super-Surgical Institute, Sankaradeva Nethralaya Guwahati, Wintrobe Hospital, Barthakur Clinic, Nemcare Hospital, Rahman Hospitals, Sun Valley Hospital, Sight First eye-clinic, Government Ayurvedic College, Institute of Dental Science & Research Centre etc attended the camps.
