If you have not tuned in BIG 92.7 FM now you are missing the most happening thing in the city. Guwahati is remaining awake with their idol RJ Mandira to support her in Big RJ Marathon across 35 cities in India. Promoted with an idea to support the athletes at the Beijing Olympics the RJ Marathon is a fact coming true in Guwhahti with RJ Mandira completing 75 hours of continuous RJing that was started off on Friday at 2 pm. Abinav Bindra's individual gold medal in Beijing deserves a standing ovation mean while Guwahati Mandira deserves this for her sportsman spirit. At 70th hour this correspondent interviewed the popular RJ on air. Today Mandira is the name discussed in the common room of colleges, canteens of corporate houses in Guwahati and other professional set ups for unbeatable high energy level.
Speaking to this correspondent a 9-9 work scheduled employee of a publishing house said that it is not at all an easy job to think of this feat and she have prove that the Assamese soul has that bravery to take up any daring challenges. Its not only about energy level but also about the mindset, positive attitude, being firm determined and most importantly linguist rhythmic to entertain people continuously for 92 hours 42minutes. Mandira has all the abilities apart from it an extra will to excel said programming head Uzzal Hazarika. All the colleagues in her office are excited about the feat to be completed tomorrow. Even the security persons excitement is to the extreme point, they said that we always see Madam logging in at 7 am and leaving at 6 pm but these days we have been with her 24x7 and its honour to serve her and be a part of her brave cause. People have queued with flower bouquets, gifts, fruits and chocolates at the Basanta Enclave near B Barooah College to meet Mandira and go on air with her. Even celebrities and high tech professionals have sent best wishes to Mandira. SMSes are read and phone calls attended even at early morning hours at 3 – 5 am. What so ever it may be it is not a matter of joke to attempt this feat and indeed Mandira will remain Assamese RJ Idol for a long time. Assam Times wishes her all the very best.

One suspected hardcore Gorkha Liberation Army (GLA) outfit militant Arjun Chetri of Nagaland was today nabbed by state police at Dheraichuli while he was coming from Dalgoan towards Dekhiajuli in Sonitpur district.
