NTPC Salakati plant to be operatiional soon

The Unit II of the Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project (BgTPP) NTPC, Salakati, Kokrajhar would be commissioned by March, 2017 with supplying power services in the state.

Speaking the reporters at NTPC complex at Salakati in Kokrajhar today, Utpal Chakraborty, Group General Manager, BgTPP NTPC said that the Unit I of the project was commissioned by June 25 in 2015 with successful power supply in the project. He said that Unit II would be commissioned by March 2017 next of which why all kinds of preparation is on the completion. He said that necessary steps have already completed in the projects. The Unit III project of the NTPC has been targeted to be commissioned by March 2018 next.

He said that the power productions of the projects would be come out with successful completion in the state, which will play vital power supply in the region as well country. He said that needy water facilities are going to meet with necessary measures from the Champawati River. He said that concern authority has been initiating good work while making successfully completion.

He also said that NTPC authority has provided bank accounts facilities to all casual worker and wage earner in the complex just after government of India has begun demonetisation system in the country. Now, all worker and wage labour have accounted with bank accounts which will be facilitate well being of the citizens, Chakraborty adding said that NTPC has been working all round welfare of the communities. Unit II NTPC will be commissioned by March next. Mentioned be made the NTPC was laid foundation in 2006 to producing 250×3 Megawatts in the region.

Chakraborty said that the NTPC has also been adopted the Kokrajhar railway station for their stopage communication. The NTPC authority has decided to make neat and clean drive in association with concern railway station authority on January 6 next. General Manager of NFR will visit to witness the cleanliness drive on that day, he added.

The Assam police force is well prepared to thwart any disruptive strike by JMB which is believed to have been trying to make its presence felt in the state. Local residents in Chitila seized many teak logs brought yo be smuggled outside on Friday wee hours. According to information, acting on information, a group of alert ABMSU activists rushed to the spot where they came too see seven teak logs beside a river which were believed to have been brought to smuggle in Chitilaghop village.
