Two senior eye specialists namely Dr Subhra Kinkor Goswami and Dr Bijuli Goswami, associated with Sight First eye-clinic, today checked the eyes of the member-journalists of Guwahati Press Club and provided free consultation & preliminary treatments for them. Over 45 scribes along with their family members participated in the evening clinic, where most of them were advised to follow some guidelines to protect and prolong their eye sights. Sight First employees Ramen Haloi, Bapan Paul with Paresh Das and Soan Das assisted the ophthalmologists in conducting the camp.

The next (10 December 2016) evening OPD under the series of ‘Evening with a Doctor’ programs will be attended by Dr KN Srinivasan, consultant cardiologist from Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. The clinic will begin at 4 pm and continue till 6 pm.

State TMC dead opposed to delimitation draft

The TMC Assam unit has opposed the draft delimitation proposal published by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday evening. The proposal is prepared based on the 2001 census, which the TMC claims is not correct as there has been a change in the population pattern in the state. Seven Engineering Students Died in Accident at Jalukbari

In a tragic road accident that occurred in the Jalukbari area of Guwahati seven engineering students died at spot last night. According to reports, a group of 10 Assam Engineering College (AEC) students traveled in a scorpio car.
