ULFA-I has brushed aside the allegations of demanding money or the safe release of Kuldeep Moran whom they kidnapped last month.
Sources told Assam Talks that the outfit is believed to have kidnapped the powerful BJP leader’s son for acting an agent of the security forces involved in the counter insurgency operations. Security forces have been fanning along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border to trace down Kuldeep who was kidnapped on August 1 from Arunachal Pradesh. The Assam Government has already taken the help of Arunachal Pradesh to ensure the safe release of Kuldeep Moran whom ULFA is believed to have been holding sine he was kidnapped.
