70th I-Day celebrated at Tangla

Along with the rest of the nation the 70th Independence day was  celebrated in Tangla with three days long programme schedule with gaiety and fervour by administration of Harisinga Revenue Circle and local public. On Monday in the morning at 9 am Lakyhya Jyoti Das Circle Officer, Khoirabari Revenue Circle hoisted the tri-colour at Tangla HS field.Delivering his speech Das said," Along with the development and progress peace and fraternity is needed for which the co-operation of people is necessary. He further said that "Youths of the nation should join hands in Nation building. He also spoke on the urgent need of mitigating the Man-elephant conflict in Udalguri district, need for aforestation drives, the disturbing trend of drug abuse among youths."

Earlier a congregation of 28 groups comprising of more than 1000 students of 17 educational instituions participated in march past parade.Meritious students Prabhal Jyoti Swargiary,Mousumi Baruah, Mohan Pradhan and Subam Patae were also felicitated . School and College childrens also performed on patriotic songs and amused the gathering audience. The march past parade was judged by Platoon Commander of 37 bbn SSB Tangla camp I.Orijit Singh,Dhirendra Kalita OC Tangla PS, Dr. Harakanta Das and educationist Binoy Medhi.
