Highway blockade protesting deplorable roads

National Highway 37 was blocked by AASU, All Rabha Students Union, All Assam Bengali Youth Students Union, Dudhnoi College Students Union and few other organisations demanding immediate reapair of Dudhnoi-Goalpara via Matia Road at Dudhnoi on Friday. More than three hours the National Highway was blocked by the prosters. The blockade ended after the protesrers submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner's representative.

Rabhas to continue protest

Hundreds  of Rabha people hit the streets on Tuesday in Goalpara demanding rights under the Sixth Schedule. Under the banner of the All Rabha Students Union and the Sixth Schedule Demand Committee, the protestors blocked the National Highway No 37 in Dudhnoi raising the demand. AASU conference starts at Dudhnoi

No trace of Dudhnoi trader

There is trace of Ganesh Dutta 24 hours after the trader went missing from Dudhnoi.According to allegations, a group of unidentified miscreants took away the businessman from in front of his house in Dudhnoi town on Monday night. Acting on the FIR, Dudhnoi police have been continuing the search operation. But the police officials tracing the case are tightlipped on the development.
