No movement on NH No 37!

The current flood wave in Kaziranga is likely to force the authority to suspend the movement of traffic on the National Highway No 37.

According to information, a huge portion of the vital road in the state has come under the surging waters of the Brahmaputra causing immense misery for the birds and wild animals.

Herds of wild elephants are waiting to shift to the nearby karbi hills. A number of rhinos in the national park have already crossed the road while some others have not been able to do it because of the flood waters. Many deer and buffalos have been reeling under the flood waters.

The forest guards have rescued a rhino calf from the flood waters. The hapless animal has been sent to the rehabilitation camp for treatment.
