Nazira Natya Samittee provides financial assistance to Mohananda Mazinder Baruah

Nazira Natya Sammittee organized a colorful cultural programme on last 12th July and provided rupees fifteen thousand earned from the event to the well known Artist Mohananda Mazinder Baruah to cover his medical expenses. Union Minister B.K. Handique was also present in the cultural programme.

Veteran Congress leader in Nazira Tonkeshwar Saikia breath his last at his own residence of Nazira Simaluguri on Thursday. He was 81 and survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter. 71th Independence Day was observed with traditional gaity and flavour in different places of Nazira Sub division.  The  main event was held at Nazira playground, where civil administration  organised the Independence Day with a day long programme. SDO(C) Dr. Sadnek Singh hoisted the National Flag after swahid tarpan at Nazira Gandhi Maidan.
