AJYCP strike on Monday

The move to auction 12 oil fields in Assam runs into a hail of state-wide protests. Announcing a slew of protest, the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad threatens to intensify protest if the Centre refuses to restraint by July 8. Talking to Assam Times, AJYCP leaders in Sivasagar said they are holding a 12-hour strike at the oil field in Sivasagar district on Monday. On Tuesday, the influential organization will further block the national Highway No 37 in protest against the controversial move of the Modi Government. On July 8, they would block the rails opposing the move.

The big question is when Public Sector companies like OIL and ONGC cannot make profit from these fields, how can Private Sector Parties can make profit. Are they superior to ONGC or OIL in in technology, equipments and manpower ?

GUWAHATI: The Maharashtra police is preparing to bring Bhubneswar after their cunterparts in Assam arrested the police constable in Haflong in connection with the infamous call data record scam.   Das, whom the police arrested a couple of days back acting on the allegations by the police in Thane would be brought to Maharashtra for interrogation. Coal scam: Enforcement officers arrested

GUWAHATI: The Assam police team probing the coal scam has arrested three enforcement officers of the transport department in Guwahati on Saturday. According to information, Madhab Neog, Chittranjan Nath and Mrigen Sarma were picked up on Saturday morning to be arrested after marathon interrogation. APSC scam: APS officer’s wife facing probe

GUWAHATI: The Dibrugarh polic team probing the APSC scam is interrogating the wife of an arrested police officer for allegedly helping her husband resorting to forgery. Acting on the revelations, Kaushik Kalita, the accused APS officer got his answers written by his wife after the civil and allied service examination. Kalita along with five others have been arrested three days back who are still in police custody.   The police have summoned her to appear before it at the SB Headquarters in Kahilippara acting on the revelations that Kalita himself did not write in the answerscripts.
