AJYCP strike on Monday

The move to auction 12 oil fields in Assam runs into a hail of state-wide protests. Announcing a slew of protest, the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad threatens to intensify protest if the Centre refuses to restraint by July 8. Talking to Assam Times, AJYCP leaders in Sivasagar said they are holding a 12-hour strike at the oil field in Sivasagar district on Monday. On Tuesday, the influential organization will further block the national Highway No 37 in protest against the controversial move of the Modi Government. On July 8, they would block the rails opposing the move.

The big question is when Public Sector companies like OIL and ONGC cannot make profit from these fields, how can Private Sector Parties can make profit. Are they superior to ONGC or OIL in in technology, equipments and manpower ?

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday granted bail to Debangana Kalita three months after the police arrested the JNU researcher alleging involvement in the orgy of violence in the north eastern parts of the national capital. No ambition for CM: Ajmal

Guwahati: Breaking his silence over the alliance with Congress to beat BJP in 2021 assembly polls, AIUDF president Badaruddin Ajmal denied any ambition for the Chief Minister’s job. Talking to a vernacular daily, Ajmal said that he has little hurdle to become Chief Minister but in the same breath he said that they have not formed the party to become CM. Attempt to attack Zubeen; 1 detained

Guwahati: Police have detained a youth in Dispur on the basis of a complaint lodged by Zubeen Garg who alleged an attempt of attack on him by a group of goons on Wednesday night.
