Guwahati: Caught in a criticism from a number of quarters Zubeen Garg has refused to accept the state government’s offer of the brand ambassador for agriculture and allied sectors. The heartthrob disclosed his decision as he was addressing media in Guwahati on Thursday.

He said that the people want him to continue his voice against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 and that he would relent the voice of protest against the controversial Act that ensures Indian citizenship for the non Muslim refugees from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

The noted singer who spearheaded the anti CAA protest across the state 6 months back kicked up a storm of controversy accepting an offer from state agriculture minister Atul Bora for brand ambassador of agriculture and allied sectors.
