India U-21 Handball team to participate in 11th Asian Championship in Syria

After a camp held in Guwahati, India under-21 Handball team is all set to fly to Aman in Syria to participate in 11th Asian Handball Championship to be held from 25th July. Speaking to this correspondent during a practice session in Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phukan Indoor Stadium in Guwahati coach Vikramjeet Singh informed that the National team was selected after a camp held in Guwahati in presence of S M Bali Secretary General Handball Federation of India, SAI Guwahati Director Subash Basumatary, Govt. nominee Venugopal and Assam Handball Association Gen Secy. Goutam Choudhury

Team members interacting with this correspondent informed that they were satisfied with the facilities provided to them in Guwahati however regretted not to have taken a proper glimpse of Guwahati city. Mean while Goutam Choudhury informed that all the supports were given by Sports Authority of India (SAI) Guwahati. The team will leave for Delhi tomorrow then take flight to Syria. Greeting the players today SAI Guwahati Director Subash Basumatary wished the team Best of Luck and took record of past performances.
