May Day observed at Nazira

The International Labour Day was observed by the Axom Chah Majdur Sangha (ACMS) at Lakshmijan Tea Estate with a day long programme on Sunday. Nazira MLA Debobrate Saikia, Labour leader  Chinmoy Borah attended the programme.

Nazira unit of communist Party of India (CPI) observed the  May Day at Nazira MC club, where veteran CPI leader and former MP Durpod Borgohain, youth leader Kanak Gogoi took part and delivered their lectures.

The draft electoral roll for the three Assembly constituencies of Sivasagar district—Demow, Sivasagar and Nazira—was published on December 27, officials said. As per official data, the total number of voters across the district’s three constituencies stands at 5,72,219.
