NDFB-S cadre arrested

Security forces belonging to police and army, in a joint operation arrested a cadre of National Democratic Front of Boroland-Songbijit faction from Mainaguri area on Tuesday under Kachugaon PS in Kokrajhar district. The cadre was identified as Bipul Mushahary alias Bigrai Mushahary, 31, of Mohendrapur, was trained in 2011. He was involved with extortion, money collection, kidnapping, arms peddling and providing logistic supports to banned terrorist organizations. A country made pistol and two bullet was recovered from him.

Kokrajhar,haert of BTAD administration is all set for counting of Assembly polls for three constituencies in the district and Indo-Bhutan border areas have been kept closed contact with necessary security vigil arrangements for the day. Classes suspended for storm affected schools

All classes were suspended at Chechapani ME School on Tuesday, hardly one and half kilometer adjacent to Kokrajhar district administration following school roof and building ruined by rain-stormy on Monday, besides guardian and teachers expressed resented over insincerity from district administration into situation. Security forces belonging to police, army and Cobra arrested a cadre of Kamatapur Liberation Organization(KLO) from Bajugaon area under Gossaigaon PS yesterday night in Kokrajhar district. The cadre was apprehended at a joint operation of the security forces and has been identified as Vikram Barman (22) of Bajugaon village. He was involved with money extortion, logistic supports to the militant outfit organization. A country made riffle and a live bullet was recovered from him.

Kokrajhar prepares for counting

The Kokrajhar district administration is all prepared for peaceful counting of votes scheduled on May 19 for three constituencies in the district, besides security tightened for peaceful counting. 2 trafficked girls rescued from Muradabad

Two girls hailed from Kokrajhar district were rescued from Muradabad of Delhi and Sersha district of Haryana    and brought back them in Kokrajhar on Monday.  Shyamal Prasad Saikia, Kokrajhar SP told the reporters on Monday that police rescued two girls from different two places in Delhi and Haryana state on May 13, who were hailed from Gossaigaon and Bishmuri area of Kokrajhar district. The girls were trafficked from Kokrajhar district few months back in the neighboring states and rescued them on supports from GRP, Muradabad and some NGO activists. ABSU eyes good governance
