100 BJP members joins in BPF
With just few days left to the Assam assembly election,the ruling Bodoland Peoples Front(BPF) has been gaining mass supports from various parts in the region.
Over 100 BJP leader and activists under the leadership of Bipin Chandra Brahma from Dotma Mandal under Kokrajhar west constituency in Kokrajhar district joined in BPF on Tuesday and extended help party to gain mass support ahead assembly election.
BPF leaders from Dotma block committee welcome and felicitated newly joined party members at a party meeting at Dotma.
Bipin Chandra Brahma,who along with his supporters joined BPF party told that he and his associates joined the party ahead election seeing good governance and social integration in the region.He said that ruling BPF party is winning in large number of seats in which they are contesting.
‘The developmental as well social uplift activities initiated by BPF party during administration have been attracted their minds among society and hence they joined the party.The BPF was working all around development for the citizens’, Brahma said.
Senior party leader Rajendra Nath Brahma,Bakul Chandra Brahma,Shangkar Brahma,party leaders among others were present in the function.

Former president of Kokrajhar district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Binati Bala Basumatary resigned from her party membership on Monday. Basumatary submitted her resignation letter to the state party president citating personal reason . She was Kokrajhar district BJP president for 2011-2015, who had gained strength of the party through her strong leadership in the district. Basumatary's quit of the party ahead assembly election would draw a set back party strength in the Kokrajhar. Three cadres of the NDFB(S) were arrested by security forces in a joint operation belonging to police and army at Hakata village under Barama PS in Baksa district on Sunday. The cadres were identified as Jwangsar Boro @ KK, Mohit Mushahary and Pramod Ramchiary @ Khankari @Raja of Baksa district. They were actively involved in extortion, arms smuggling and other nefarious and anti national activities and Adivasi carnage in December(2014) and had run away and sheltered themselves in Chennai, till their return.
