Illegal ABSU unit

The Baksa district committee of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) termed the Jopadong anchalik committee, ABSU led by Phulmon Boro was illegal and invalid.

In a press statement, Hangama Narzary, president and Rwmdwn Basumatary,general secretary of the Baksa district committee,ABSU said that the Jopadong anchalik committee, ABSU which was formed forcefully by Phulmon Boro and his company was illegal and anti-constitution of the students union. The Jopadong anchalik committee, ABSU which was led by Kanak Boro was recognised and valid committee of the ABSU. In an executive committee meeting  of the district ABSU held on February 27 last has termed the so-called anchalik committee formed by Phulmon and his company was illegal and invalid.The students union leaders urged the Phulmon Boro to vacate the holding of anchalik committee and held healthy integration, the statement added.

Anundaram Borooah award distributed

A total of 886 students were given away Laptop, Computers under Anundaram Borooah award among first division passed out students of HSLC examination at a function held at Basic Training Centre today in Kokrajhar. Dotma HSS celebrated Platinum Jubilee

Enrollment weekend

The Chirang  district election officer has decided to organise a special enrollment weekend camps as a part of continuous updation of electoral roll. All the assigned AEROs and BLOs of 31 Sidli (ST) LAC  will organise camps two days camps at their concerned polling stations and issue form 6, 7, 8 and 8(A) to the left out eligible persons and collect those forms back from them for enrollment in the electoral roles. 

NDFB-S cadre, linkman arrested

Security forces have claimed to arrest a hard core cadre OF NDFB-S and link man from Bamungaon area under Sidli police station in Chirang district late last evening.  Getting a tiptop information about presence of militant cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched a operation and apprehended hard core cadre of NDFB-S and link man from Bamungaon area late last evening.  The cadre was identified as W Gol@ Gangaraj Wary and linkman was Kalicharan Brahma.  Wary joined the militant outfit in 2012, was trained in Myanmar.
