Illegal ABSU unit

The Baksa district committee of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) termed the Jopadong anchalik committee, ABSU led by Phulmon Boro was illegal and invalid.

In a press statement, Hangama Narzary, president and Rwmdwn Basumatary,general secretary of the Baksa district committee,ABSU said that the Jopadong anchalik committee, ABSU which was formed forcefully by Phulmon Boro and his company was illegal and anti-constitution of the students union. The Jopadong anchalik committee, ABSU which was led by Kanak Boro was recognised and valid committee of the ABSU. In an executive committee meeting  of the district ABSU held on February 27 last has termed the so-called anchalik committee formed by Phulmon and his company was illegal and invalid.The students union leaders urged the Phulmon Boro to vacate the holding of anchalik committee and held healthy integration, the statement added.

A total of 886 students were given away Laptop, Computers under Anundaram Borooah award among first division passed out students of HSLC examination at a function held at Basic Training Centre today in Kokrajhar. The Chirang  district election officer has decided to organise a special enrollment weekend camps as a part of continuous updation of electoral roll.
