UPP rally

Former Rajya Sabha MP and president of United Peoples’ Party (UPP) Urkhao Gwra Brahma have been claimed that Congress and his party alliance would form next government at Dispur defeating BPF-BJP alliance in the upcoimng assembly election.

A Pada Jatra rally was organized at Fakiragram under Kokrajhar west LAC covering 12 kilometres, started from Fakiragram to Chitila via Shakti Ashram where over ten thousand supporter and party workers participated with banner,placards in Kokrajhar district today.

Brahma while addressing the jatra said that citizen and common publics are wanting change of social integration through bringing good governance and participation of healthy political administration in the region.This time voters will give lessons to the BPF-BJP alliance parties that have been failed to fulfill aspiration and assurances towards social uplift and development. The UPP party has geared up its mass based with slogans like ‘Ghore Ghore UPP’(UPP in House to House),Gaonye Gaonye UPP(UPP in village to villages) in the region and was trying to create attractions among common masses.

The UPP party has been contesting in 15 constituencies all over the state and party is winning in large number of seats as irrespective of caste,creed and languages are supporting the party.He said that his party has alliance with ruling Congress party and formation of government at the Dispur is sure.The alliance integration of BPF-BJP could not be formed government at any cost,he said.

‘There would be no any factor of candidate or parties for UPP in Kokrajhar west constituency as peoples are favouring UPP party to the change of social integration and upliftment.So,winning in the constituency and all over the region is clear,no doubt’,Brahma claimed.

He has urged the common masses to vote for party to meet good goveranance,healthy living and unity among all sections of communities.

UPP vice-president and BTC MCLA Rwngwra Narzary,Guneswar Goyary,party leader Prathiba Brahma were prominent speakers on the pada jatra.

Over 15 shops along the Fakiragram main Bazar in Lower Assam’s Kokrajhar district have turned into ashes.  The fire damaged worth of nearly 50 lakhs properties following fire in gutted on Friday late night. An emergency response mock drill was conducted by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at Habrubari in Kokrajhar district on Friday,which was a part of offsite emergency mock on the IOCL Guwahati-Siliguri underground pipeline to test the preparedness of its emergency personnel.
