Stolen vehicle recovered, two arrested
Police recovered a stolen vehicle (Bolero) from Na-khuti area of Assam-Nagaland border yesterday. According to sources, a team of Assam Police personnel led by Dhansiri SDPO, Bolin Deori apprehended a person in Na-khuti and recovered a silver coloured Bolero DI from him. The arrested person is identified as Omento. Later he confessed before the police that another gang of car lifters handed over him the stolen vehicle at Tezpur. Police also arrested one Kiyopu Sema in this connection. The arrested persons were being interrogated at Sarupathar Police Station in order to get more information about the car lifters racket being operative in this region.
