MLAs misbehave with Guv Rajkhowa

Arunachal Pradesh Governor JP Rajkhowa has expressed grave disappointment over Tuesday's incident at the Raj Bhawan where a section of cabinet ministers misbehaved with him.

In a statement issued from the Raj Bhawan, it was said that the unruly scene took place when Chief Minister Nabam Tuki was leading a delegation of Congress legislators urging Rajkhowa to recall the order summing the session on Wednesday calling it an unconstitutional exercise.

Rajkhowa stood by his order citing legal options in support of it. He allowed them to know that had issued the Speaking Order dated 9th December 2015 as per laid down provisions of the Constitution and the Law and in exercising powers conferred on him under clause (1) of article 174 of the Constitution of India. In addition to it, legal experts were consulted.

But, according to the Raj Bhawan, the MLAs refused to listened to Rajkhowa and questioned his authority and judgment. "A section of ministers got very agitated and Tapang Taloh, unparliamentary words and gestured in very animated and threatening manner before leaving Raj Bhavan," reads the statement.

Led by the chief minister, the delegation comprised Tanga Byaling, Rajesh Tacho, Minister Tapang Taloh, Gojen Gadi, Jomde Kena, Tirong Aboh, Phurpa Tsering, Takam Pario.
