New registrar cum secretary of APMC

Senior Microbiologist oDr Mika Umpo has been appointed as Registrar cum Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh Medical Council (APMC). The appointment is made w.e.f November 17, 2015 as per the published extraordinary gazette notification no 260, Vol XXII Naharlagun dated 18 November 2015. 

He also presently holds the charge of Microbiologist of Intermediate Reference Laboratory in the state under Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program (RNTCP).  

Dr Umpos appointment as Registrar cum Secretary in APMC is for the term of the 2nd regular AP Medical Council or till further order whichever is earlier. The term of the members under Arunachal Pradesh Medical Council is as per Section 4(4) of APMC Act, 2004 (Act no 4 of 2004). 

Arunachal Pradesh Medical Council is a separate statutory body enacted under Act no. 4 of 2004 of Govt of Arunachal Pradesh. Its main function is to monitor and regulate the quality of practice of modern system of medicine in the state
