Giving importance to the aspirations young writers, a new Assamese monthly magazine  titled "Prothyabanor Somoi" was launched in Nazira on last Sunday.  Raj Axom Laskar is the editor of the magazine.

Residents Protest Over Crumbling Desang River Bridge

Serious concern has gripped the residents of Nangalamora area in Sivasagar district following the alarming condition of the Desang River bridge linking Sepon with Sunpura. The bridge, which partially collapsed on January 16, 2022, had since been closed to heavy vehicles. Recently, another portion gave way, leaving the structure open only to two-wheelers. Athletes from Charaideo district put up an impressive performance at the ASMITA Khelo India Women’s Wushu Championship held at Dimow Higher Secondary School on Sunday.
