Fuel for Fire is short film with a story about conservation of water and livelihood pattern of rural communities near Gerukamukh, in Dhemaji.
The film is about wastage of water. The crew made a field study upon which, it was discovered that people living in nearby areas of Gerukamukh hill collect drinking water from unsafe sources that has high potential to cause hazard. The team decided to document the practice and link it up with water wastages. The film is also a brief documentation of the livelihood pattern of the people living by the bank of river Subansiri and foothills of Gerukamukh. People those who have running water facilities in their home often misuse it. Wide scale extraction of ground water by pump has caused ground water depletion as chances for recharge is gradually becoming minimal. The problem has become graver in cities and towns, and people are yet to understand the threat. The film is an attempt to give a message to those who, in their daily errands, wastes alarming quantity of water.
The film is directed by Ratul Gohain and produced by Sristi production.
