The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s Golaghat District Sports Association is organizing Under 23 CK Naidu Trophy at the Golaghat Stadium from Saturday. Under 23 Assam team are taking on the Railways in the opening match at 8-30 in the monrning, said GDSA secretary Sanjeev Handique and Cricket Secretary Biswajyoti Barua.

Golaghat boxers are gearing up for the inter district competition slated for Friday and Saturday in Guwahati.Talking to Assam Times, the Golaghat District Sports Association general secretary Sanjib Handique said that the district team comprises Padma Chetri ,Jyotsna Dolley, Fumala Dolley, Janhvi Baruah, Nilotpal Bora, Navjyoti Kalita and Maneshwar Burman .
The Golaghat District Sports Association will organize an inter district swimming competition on November 7 and 8. Talking to Assam Times, the organization’s general secretary Sanjib Handique said that two days event is slated to take place at the local swimming pool in Golaghat. He said that at organizing committee has been formed to host the event.
The Golaghat district administration on Tuesday asked the tea garden managements to clear the bonus to the workers by October 5. Deputy Commissioner Anarul Haque on Tuesday issued the order after a meeting with the various tea group owners. He ordered the owners to discuss the bonus amount with the workers to resolve the issue amicably.
