The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s Golaghat District Sports Association is organizing Under 23 CK Naidu Trophy at the Golaghat Stadium from Saturday. Under 23 Assam team are taking on the Railways in the opening match at 8-30 in the monrning, said GDSA secretary Sanjeev Handique and Cricket Secretary Biswajyoti Barua.

The mortal remains of Prabin Kumar Gogoi consigned to flames after the lifeless AGP veteran arrived in Golaghat on Tuesday. His fans thronged in thousands at his residence as soon as the body arrived to be followed by last respect to the former minister.Then his body was taken with a huge procession to the cremation ground.
