Chindang greetings from Governor

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Shri JP Rajkhowa has extended heartiest Greetings and Good Wishes to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Chindang Festival. He expressed hope that the festivity will invoke blessings from the reverent deities for bumper harvests and prosperity.

In his message to the people on the occasion, the Governor said that the festivals and the right rituals are the key dimensions of human culture. Indigenous people have been conducting ceremonies and rituals since time immemorial. Such festivity brings together various clans or groups to strengthen the bond of oneness and forms an important component of the socio-cultural life of the people.  As a matter of fact, it reflects culture and traditions of a tribe. In the same line, Chindang festival exhibits the rich cultural heritage of Sajalong (Miji) Tribe. The Governor wished that members of the community join hands together with rest of the people in carrying forward their vibrant customs and traditions.

Arunachal Pradesh Governor JP Rajkhowa has expressed grave disappointment over Tuesday's incident at the Raj Bhawan where a section of cabinet ministers misbehaved with him.
