Jothai club beat Avalence club
Jothai Sports Club from Gendrabil beat Avalence Sports Club from Patgaon 3-2 in tie breaker system in the inaugural match of the Tikendra Brahma and Aolang Brahma memorial football match in Kokrjahar on Monday. Barhoongka AC from Kokrajhar are taking on Binco Sports Club from Daloabari on at Kagrabari ground on Tuesday.
Organised by Kagrabari Dihung Sports Club, altogether 12 teams are participating in the tournament to be sponsored by Kabiranjan Brahma in the memory of his parents. BTC executive member Rajib Brahma kicked off the tournament and hoped that the football tournament will influence among the budding players in the region. Kabiranjan Brahma, Katiram Narzary, Promod Kumar Narzary, Saradha Prasad Paul, Magurmari Balary were among those who attended the opening match.
The winning team would get cash Rs 30,000 in cash and a trophy while the runners up team would get Rs 20,000 in cash and a trophy. The final match would be played on October 26.
