Empowerment through computer skills

The East Siang unit of All Arunachal Pradesh Labour Union (AAPLU) has struck deal with Third Eye Computer Education to provide free of cost computer training to unprivileged youths. Both the parties reached the pact formally at a function opened by MLA Kaling Moyong in Pasighat at Mirmir Tiniali. Twenty five students will under go for free and subsidized six months computer training

Moyong said the training program is aimed at providing better employment opportunities to the unemployment youths. There is a dire need for this form of training, available principally at commercial prices, which is beyond their reach. This project sets up equipped computer labs and provides computer training to disadvantaged youths of poor families who have no opportunity to acquire technology skills to make them fit for the modern world.

APPLU Zonal Chairman Tabiram Moyong informed that this project provides a learning environment with access to computer equipment, office applications and the Internet where youth and young adults can gain the computer skills and secure better jobs in the future.
