Kamaleswar Brahma football

BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary inaugurated the 3rd Kamaleswar Brahma memorial football trophy-2015 being kicked off here at Ramfalbil RNB ground in Kokrajhar. 

The trophy was organised by Ramfalbil anchalik sports association (RASA) and sponsorship by Manaranjan Brahma, in memory of his father late Kamaleswar Brahma. 

Borgoyary in his speech said that the BTAD administration was working to make upliftment in the region as young and budding sports personalities are presenting best performance in their capacities in various sports occasion across the country.

In the inaugural match, City police, Guwahati beat Serfanguri Sanswrang Sports Club 2-1 through penalty kick. 

Both the team was in 0-0 during the main game. Tomorrow Gossaigaon Salbagan will take on Municipality FC, Coochbehar, West Bengal. 

A total of 9 teams from various states like Assam, West Bengal, Jharkhand and neighbouring Bhutan are participating which included CFC Bhutan, Municipality FC,Coochbehar, West Bengal; SE Railway, Jharkhand; Barhoongka AC, Kokrajhar; Global FC, Gossaigaon; Salbagan FC, Gossaigaon;Serfanguri Sanswrang Club and  Veteran FC, Guwahati. 

The final match of the trophy would be played on October 10

Championship team would be awarded a trophy and cash 25, 000 while runners up will be given away trophy and cash 15,000. 

Among others, Manaranjan Brahma, trophy sponsorer, social worker Rajendra Nath Boro, dignitaries from various organisations were present on the occasion. 

Early in the morning, Birhang Brahma, daughter in low of late Kamaleswar Brahma paid floral tribute to late Brahma while Anjali Basumatary, social worker inaugurated the ground in the presence of huge gathering.
