Tinsukia AGP leader Dr Om Prakash Sahu criticized BJP and Congress accusing them of polarizing votes in the name of caste, creeds and religion 6 months ahead of the polls.
Dr Sahu said that both the parties started shedding  tears for the sake of power. Dr Sahu appealed to all the people to remain alert from these elements.

Illegal settlers evicted in Ledo hamlet

The Tinsukia district administration has evicted eight families of suspected Bangladesh settlers from a remote hamlet in Ledo on Monday a day after a group of former ULFA rebels set on fire a hut belonging to a suspected immigrant. Led by a magistrate, a team of Margherita police and CRPF jawans reached the Maplang Khamti village in the morning and demolished at least eight huts occupied by the suspected settlers vanished from the spots hours before the eviction drive. Former rebels end Ledo blockade, colleagues freed

The former ULFA rebels have ended the road blockade in Ledo after the authority released six of their colleagues who were detained for setting afire three huts in Maplang Khamti village.
