Rain waters start wreaking havoc in Guwahati again after the premier north eastern city was lashed by incessant rains for several our on Tuesday. Low laying places in the city came under the rain waters from Wednesday morning disrupting normal life in Anil Nagar, Nabin Nagar, Lachit Nagar, Chandmari along with many other places.

Vehicles, mostly, refuse to ply on the RG Baruha Road because of the rainwaters that inundated a huge portion from Sundarpur area to Chandmari area forcing many offices to remain closed for the day.

The Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in Assam's Marigaon district is known for its high density of one-horned rhinoceros and is also an important habitat for various bird species.
