BPF welcomes freshers

Poll bound BPF gets a fresh lease of life when more than 500 BJP and PCDR members joined the party on Tuesday. Former minister and Kokrajhar east MLA Pramila Rani Brahma, Kokrajhar west MLA Pradip Kumar Brahma, party leader Rajendra Nath Brahma felicitated and welcome newly joined members in BPF party from BJP, PCDR under Kokrajhar east and west LAC segment with traditional Aronai and offered party membership forms formally at a function held at Dotma ground in Kokrajhar district. 

Over 500 leaders,member and activists from BJP, PCDR from various villages under Borshijhora, Boragari and Hogomabill primary committees both in Kokrajhar East and West LAC segments of Kokrajhar district which included Boragari,Simlaguri, Betani, Kolobari, Molandubi, Mansherghop, Kawradumni, Dhanggerkuti, Borshijhora, Dotma, Kawramaora were prominent villages of the area.

Most of the joined peoples are from BJP and PCDR who are stepping towards the BPF as party was working for the all round development and integration of the region. 

Former minister Brahma hailed the newly joined members in BPF party said her party was working on the social development and peoples changes since it's inception in the party line. She said her party has been stressing citizen's welfare and bringing of equal distribution among society. 

MLA Pradip Kumar Brahma said that his party has eyed peace and unity and working all round development and welfare for the common publics social change in the region. He has expressed his optimistic said his party is gaining its strength as irrespective of common  publics are stepping to support BPF party in the region.

The meeting was chaired by Sangkharlal Brahma, president Dotma block BPF.

Among others, Simsan Mushahary, secretary Kokrajhar district committee of BPF, Uma Rani Basumatary, secretary BPF women wing of Kokrajhar district committee and senior party leaders were present.

Security forces apprehend a NDFB(S) cadre from Basabil area under Gossaigaon PS on Sunday in Kokrajhar district. Based on information about the presence of the militant outfit cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched an operation where a listed cadre of Gossaigaon platoon of the NDFB(S) was arrested along with arms. The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has left three constituencies- Sorbhog, Rangia and Bhawanipur to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), its ally party.
