Viswakarma puja underway

Assam observes Viswakarma Puja across the state with traditional religious farvour on Friday marking the beginning of the puja season.
Factories, industrial units laboratories along with a section of schools and colleges are getting a fresh look with the devotees offering pujas to the god of construction.
A series of programmes are lined up on the occasion. Assam Times family also observed the puja on Friday morning at its office premises in Guwahati.

Tiger Carcass Found in Kaziranga National Park

The body of a tiger was discovered in the Horonbali Chapori area of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, located in Assam’s Biswanath district, on Monday. Government Extends AFSPA in Manipur Amidst Ethnic Clashes
