BTC-Army goodwill league from Sept 27

Preparations are going on in full swing to organise first time ever in BTC region which would be beginning from September 27 involving four districts of the council. 

Speaking the reporters today at a  joint press meet held at BTC Secretariat conference hall SM Ismail, Brigadier of the Army and BTC executive member for sports & youth welfare department Doneswar Goyary said that the football premier league 2015 will begin on September 27 at two fields in Kokrajhar and Udalguri district involving respective district sports official and association.

Ismail said thst the football premier league has been organising to tap the unexplored potential of the youth in BTAD as also to promote unity and spread goodwill among the peoples. 

'The event is intended to showcase sporting talent in the region and inspire youth to pursue sports. Scouts from various league clubs are expected to attend the event to identify the budding talent and guide players on the way ahead.The event will provide a platform for people from all sections of society to come together for a common passion, thereby enhancing the spirit of unity while promoting peaceful in the region', Ismail added.  

Goyary said that BTC administration and Army have for the first time joined hands to provide a common platform for unleashing the passion of youth in the four districts in the council to demonstrate their talent in the most popular football sport in the area.He said thathere are ten clubs one each from ten subdivisions of the four districts are participating in the league and final match would be played on October 18 at SAI ground  in Kokrajhar. 

The winning team would be awarded a trophy and cadh two lakh and runner up be given away a trophy and cash one lakh in the final match.

Organizing such tournament is good for society. But it is very unfortunate to organized this tournament untill and unless a pregnant woman who was gang raped by two Indian Army personals get justice and culprits are punish. Its very confusing . . . .

Security forces  arrested four NDFB-S rebels along with arms  from Kachugaon area in Gossaigaon subdivision of Kokrajhar district on Wednesday.Police said based on inputs, an operation was carried out in which the four NDFB-S rebels, including the outfit Gossaigaon section commander were apprehended.The arrested persons are identified as  Gossaigaon section commander Eshilash Narzary alias Gathia,  Pinjit Basumatary, Bishop Narzary alias Tapdung and Darashar Uzir.     A 7.65 mm pistol, 5 live rounds ammunition, 4 mobiles were recovered from them.

Expressing serious concern over non implementation of sixth pay commission, 2006 and demanding early release of arrears of the teachers, the All Bodo Primary Teachers Association has decided to boycott classes on March 11 in the region.
