AAPSU not to compromise boundary

Arunachal Pradesh will not leave even an inch of its land in the name of the Naga peace initiatives. This was more or less of what the Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union said when a six member delegation of the organization met Nagaland peace interlocutor R N Ravi.

Comprising Tanya Agu, Arjun Dodum, Marto Boje, Kamta Lapung Biru Nasi called on  Ravi and submitted a memorandum asking him to ensure territorial integrity in Tirap, Changlang and Longding districts.

They urged Ravi to deploy additional forces to maintain peace in these districts. They told Ravi that they were not opposed to the peace accord but in the same breath they would compromise the border.

Ravi assured them that trust will not be compromised adding that there won’t be any change in the boundary demarcation of Arunachal Pradesh. He said nothing would be finalized without holding talks with Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur chief ministers.
