NSCN-K militant held

Security forces arrested a hardcore NSCN-K militant in Tinsukia district on Saturday. Acting on a tip off, Assam Rifles jawans and police conducted a search operation at an auto rickshaw which was on the way to Margherita from Ledo where the Naga militant was held.

The militant who hailed from Khunsa area is being grilled by senior police officials in Margherita. Notably, Margherita along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border has become a safe route for a section of ULFA, NDFB-S and NSCN-K militants who have been hiding in the area.
