Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s entry into BJP will put the people in utter confusion over the chief ministerial candidate.
Hours after Dr Sarma unofficially joined BJP, Gogoi said that if Sarma is made the chief ministerial candidate then what is in store for Sarbananda Sonowal and Siddharth Bhattacharya.
Talking to reports Gogoi wondered why and how Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma joined BJP a day after he was proud of his party’s victory in the Tiwa autonomous council polls.

The newly elected party legislators met in Imphal on Monday where Singh emerged as the consensus leader. The Asom Gana Parishad will stage statewide demonstration on Thursday opposing the move to amend the Citizenship Act, 1955 reiterating that the amendment would make Assam an abode of Bangladeshis.
