Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s entry into BJP will put the people in utter confusion over the chief ministerial candidate.
Hours after Dr Sarma unofficially joined BJP, Gogoi said that if Sarma is made the chief ministerial candidate then what is in store for Sarbananda Sonowal and Siddharth Bhattacharya.
Talking to reports Gogoi wondered why and how Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma joined BJP a day after he was proud of his party’s victory in the Tiwa autonomous council polls.

NEW DELHI: Finally Matang Sinh procured bail three years after CBI arrested the former Union minister in the chit fund scam. A bench of the Calcutta High Court on Monday granted conditional bail to Sinh asking him to appear before the CBI officials once in a week. GUWAHATI: Unidentified gunmen shot dead an aged business man in Guwahati triggering huge shock and anger in the city on Monday. The incident took place at around 9.30 in the evening in Bijoy Nagar when Shatital Jain was on his way back to his home from his business establishment. Two motorcycle born gunmen halted him on the road side and snatched his bag and sprayed two round of bullets on his body from a point blank range and vanished. A critically injured Jain was rushed to the hospital where he died. Many businessmen in the city have demanded immediate arrest of the gunmen who killed the businessman. DIPHU: Two people died and another is battling with life when a bus rammed into a group of picknickers in Karbi Anglong district on Monday. The incident took place in the morning at Bheloghat where the pucknickers were walking in the spot.
