GUWAHATI: Unidentified gunmen shot dead an aged business man in Guwahati triggering huge shock and anger in the city on Monday.
The incident took place at around 9.30 in the evening in Bijoy Nagar when Shatital Jain was on his way back to his home from his business establishment.
Two motorcycle born gunmen halted him on the road side and snatched his bag and sprayed two round of bullets on his body from a point blank range and vanished.
A critically injured Jain was rushed to the hospital where he died. Many businessmen in the city have demanded immediate arrest of the gunmen who killed the businessman.
Police have registered a case and investigation is going on.
