Why Himanta joins BJP now

Why Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma is in a haste to join BJP? Political observers are straight in their comments. He is  believed to have unofficially joined BJP in the face of two huge scams that put him in dire straights.

Very recently, BJP parliamentary board called him the key suspect in the Louis Berger scam only a month back. A CID enquiry is in progress which will unearth the real story.

The Central Bureau of Investigation probing the chit fund scam has already grilled Dr Sarma on the basis of the purported letter by Saradha chief Sudipto Sen. CBI has yet to file the charge-sheet.

Really? Has he ever been proven to be involved in any scam? Ever ever in his long lasting career so far?? Is he not one of the cleanest politicians and most efficient too. Stop you propaganda please.

Now that he joined bjp to save himself for all the scams it will be all the more difficult to prove. He is an opportunist and that's what we don't like. It was bjp who was most vocal about his corruption. Why have they accepted him now? Shouldn't  Assam produce more leaders? He already has enough: TV channel, newspaper, guest house, stashed cash and what not. We need honest leaders not tainted. You are spreading the propaganda. Bada aya.

One person died and ten others have been injured when suspected ULFA militants lobbed a powerful grenade at a busy market place in Bokolia town of Karbi Anglong district on Wednesday. The grenade exploded in front of a shop at 6.40 pm injuring ten persons. The injured were admitted to a local hospital where the condition of one person was stated to be serious. Nobody has owned up responsibility. But police call it a handiwork of ULFA.
At least six people have been injures in two powerful explosions that rocked Lakhimpur town on Tuesday.The first explosion rocked the Jail Road are where one person sustained injury. This was followed by the blast at the Lakhimpur court premises. Five people have been injured. Security forces have cordoned the entire town area to nab the culprits. The overall flood situation shows some let-up sign. A rhino and an elephant were found dead in the  National Park on Sunday. The carcass had its horn intact in Barakata area under Bagori range. The Assam-Meghalaya joint district level border meeting in Dhubri resolved to end tension. Both sides urged the student bodies to end the economic blockade. The joint meeting took place at the Circuit House in Hatsingimari in Dhubri district. BJP state unit President Sarbananda Sonowal said that Dispur’s failure to implement the Assam Accord is an insult to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Talking to reporters in Dibrugarh, Sonowal said that even after 28 years of signing of the Accord by the All Assam Students Union, the state and the union government all clauses were yet to implemented, thereby insulting Gandhi. The clauses for detection of illegal foreigners and deletion of their names from voters list and their deportation were not fulfilled yet.
