The flood affected people at Joypur Namapara in Kokrajhar staged protest on Sunday alleging gross anomalies in the supply of relief materials at the instance of a circle of middleman.
Flood affected villagers told reporters that some middlemen from the area received huge quantity of the relief rations from district administration. But the materials, meant for these people have been inadequate, cheap and sub standard.
They alleged that village headman Sukur Ali, Dhiren, Johir Sheik are involved with anomalies of relief foods in the area.
Taiwan Bibi, a flood victim said that she received only fifty gram mastered oil, 1.5 kgs of rice and a few grams of dal from the district administration for maintaining five family members in her family.
She slammed the district administration for not taking step to provide relief materials.
Mridul Ali, another flood victim said that they are not getting sufficient rations.
