Border visual springs surprise for SC
Indo-Bangladesh border is perhaps the most porous of all the borders on this planet. This was what the Supreme Court has observed after a glimpse of the visuals it received from the Upamanyu Hazarika panel.
Procured from the one man panel set up to study the border situation, the CD has many stunning visuals which neither the Assam government and nor BSF have refused. It exposes how anybody from the neighhbouring country can infiltrate from across the porous portion of the international border without any hiindrence.
The visuals of cattle along the river route stunned even the supreme court bench when it was examined by the Hazarika panel which visited the border in May.

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday extended by a months its 30 June deadline for the publication of the final National Register of Citizens (NRC) draft. The bench gave the extension after the Centre and the state NRC coordinator agreed to publish it within the new 30 July deadline. A bench of justices Ranjan Gogoi and RF Nariman considered the report of Assam NRC coordinator Prateek Hajela and extended the deadline. NEW DELHI: BJP central leadership is understood to have cleared the decks for the Assam cabinet expansion at the end of an hour long meeting between Amit Shah and Sarbananda Sonowal in New Delhi on Friday. Senior party leaders who refused to be named told Assam Times that Shah and Sonowal finalized the induction of eight new members in the expended cabinet where three sitting ministers would be dropped. Of the ten new faces AGP and BPF have one each while others are BJP legislators who are expected to take oath in a day or two.
