Satriya workshop concludes
A ten day workshop on Satriya dance and Borgeet training was concluded here at Kokrajhar Naamghar in Kokrajhar on Thursday in Kokrajhar.
Participant and well wishers felicitated Satriya dance expert with traditional Aronai and Phulam Gamocha during the closing ceremony.
Over 30 participants from Kokrajhar town and its adjoining were participated in the training, was organised by Kokrajhar Sangkardev Naamghar in association with Yuva Thirtha, Assam.
Participants presented beautiful dances on Satriya and Borgeet during the occasion which saw attractions of viewers and public.
Govindo Mahanta, principal of Guwahati Satriya Sangeet Vidyalaya has been imparting training on Satriya dance and Borgeet to the trainees in the workshop.
Mahanta told that the training was organised to create environment of Satriya dance and Borgeet among youths in the region.He said that the Satriya dance and Borgeet has a potential attraction of cultural viewers in the country, of which why young generation should learn cultural steps.
Peoples of the region expressed their hope that the training session will be benefitted to the young generations among society.
