3 missing in Kokrajhar

Three people are believed to have been killed in the name of witch-hunting in Kokrajhar.

The incident took place on Thursday in Mongoljhar where the three people including a woman have been remaining untraced for the last 48 hours.

Acting on the complaints, police have picked up 11 villagers on Saturday morning. They are being interrogated to ascertain the truth.

Security forces apprehend a NDFB(S) cadre from Basabil area under Gossaigaon PS on Sunday in Kokrajhar district. Based on information about the presence of the militant outfit cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched an operation where a listed cadre of Gossaigaon platoon of the NDFB(S) was arrested along with arms.
