KLO cadre arrested

Security forces apprehended a hardcore cadre of KLO from Balagaon area under Kokrajhar PS in a joint operation in Kokrajhar today. 

Based on an inputs received from the area, conducted a joint operation wikth police and manage to arrest a hardcore cadre of KLO along with arms. 

The cadre was identified as So bar am Roy of Balagaon village and he was handed over to police.

A 7.62 country made riffle, four bullets was recovered from him.

Security forces from Assam Police and Army have claimed to capture two-over ground worker (OGW)/linkmen of Kamatapur Liberation Organisation(KLO) from Thuribari area in Kokrajhar district on Wednesday. Women’s Day celebrated at NTPC

Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project also joined the rest of the country in celebrating International Women’s Day here at Salakati on Tuesday in Kokrajhar district. UtpalChakrabarti, Group General Manager of NTPP spoke at length about the history of this august day and how at present society, women are leading at important positions throughout the world. The celebration began with a cake cutting ceremony by the women employees of NTPC Bongaigaon alongwith CISF and UPL.This was followed by a brainstorming session on this year’s theme-“Pledge for Parity”. Bhaskar Pradip Mahanta Memorial lecture

Kokrajhar district administration has been seek 65 companies of security forces to conduct the upcoming Assam Assembly election in free and fair for three LACs in the district slated to be held on April 11 next during second phase of the election in Assam.
