Amit Shah on visit to Guwahati

BJP president is on stock taking visit to Guwahati nine months ahead of the assembly polls.

Immediately after landing at the Borjhar airport, he along with 10 other top leaders straightly arrived at the Machkhowa ITA to address the convention of the party’s north eastern leaders.

Later in the day he would met the state leadership to take stock of the state’s pre poll political landscape.   

He is scheduled to leave the city in the evening.

Wrong News. After landing at Borjhar LGBI Airport, he went to Hotel Rituraj where he conducted a personal meeting for more than one hour and then around 12:10 proceeded to ITA Machkhowa from where he left for Delhi.

Amid widespread resentment over AICC’s move to field UP MP Sanjay Singh in the Rajya Sabha from Assam, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said that the party high command has not yet formally allowed him to know the move.But in the same breath, told the reporters in Dispur that he won’t oppose the move. APCC president Bhubneswar Kalita admitted high command’s move to field Dr Singh from Assam.
