Amid brisk preparation for finalizing Lok Sabha candidates, Assembly Speaker Pranab Gogoi has revealed that he was dead opposed to the move for allowing BK Handique to seek re election.
According to sources, Gogoi, whose son is also in the race for ticket from Jorhat, has written to APCC president Bhubneswar Kalita and chief minister Tarun Gogoi not to help the sitting MP get ticket this time.
