The Asom Sahitya Sabha demands inclusion of all indigenous people in NRC without any legacy data.
The state’s largest literary body will move the Supreme Court seeking exemption of OBC, MOBC, SC along with the Brahmins and Kalita community people from legacy data for inclusion of their names in the updated NRC.
The Sabha will be one of the parties in the issue when the apex court will review the progress of the entire ongoing process on July 14.
